My Approach

When we are out of touch with our best selves, it can  manifest as depression, anxiety,  too much drinking or taking drugs, internal conflict, family or marital conflict, infidelity, divorce or job dissatisfaction, etc.

My job as your therapist is to help you see your way through the crisis by helping you examine when and how your life did work well and what changes you can make to get yourself back on track and living in harmony with yourself and those closest to you. I will listen to the stories of your life and will ask questions designed to help you draw on your own internal resources and naturally make changes toward the good.

You lead the process. I am here to witness your successes, listen to you, and help you develop new skills until you find yourself living a life that is satisfying and meaningful to you.

I am trained in a wide array of therapeutic models and topics including:

•  EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
•  Lifespan integration
•  Trauma focused CBT  (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
•  Building Sustainability in Relationships (Gottman)
